How do I Get Involved with Local Meetups?

We're thrilled that you’re interested in learning more about how to get involved with in-real-life (IRL) local meetups in your city. This community is all about creating powerful networking opportunities, and when we work together, we can connect countless, ambitious founders across the country and the world!

You can host a networking meetup at your favorite local hot spot, whether it’s a coffee shop, restaurant, or rooftop bar — or if you’re up for it, you can even host it at your home. The most important thing is to connect and have fun! We’ll be ready to help cross-promote the event, and as the host, you’ll get extra love, exposure, and rewards.

As of January 2024, this is a brand new initiative for our organization and we thank you in advance for piloting this core membership feature with us. Our intention is to start off simple, gather feedback from hosts and attendees alike, and then iterate, expand, and enhance the program from there.

🪂 Here is a one-sheet overview of the program

🏊‍♀️ For a much deeper dive into the specifics of how to get involved, please review this comprehensive leader guide for hosting suggestions, tips, and general guidance on how the hosting process will work.

📝 To apply to host a local meetup, please fill out this form. Please note we plan local meetups 8 weeks out to ensure the needed runway to promote it.

🥂 If you’re not necessarily interested in organizing a local meetup, but you’d like to help, we are actively seeking volunteers for donation or barter in the following areas in cities across the U.S., and Canada:

  • Food & Beverage Brands
  • Venues / Spaces for hosting
  • Photographers

If you own or manage a business in any of the above areas, or if you know of a local business that fits these criteria that we should consider for the preferred vendors database we are making, please fill out this form.

FAQs

💫 For full list of FAQs, please read the comprehensive local meetups leader guide.

Q: Are local meetups only for members of The Entreprenista League?

A: All founders or entrepre-curious women and non-binary folks are welcomed to attend local meetups. Hosts can promote their meetup to their wider community and should encourage their attendees to bring a friend or two. This is how we strengthen the community and find new, awesome people to connect with. While anyone is allowed to attend, please note that only Entreprenista League members can host a local meetup.

Q: Who is responsible for organizing the event?

A: The host member is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing the event. Entreprenista will support with event promotion and RSVP management assistance.

Q: Will I earn rewards for referring new members?

A: Yes! You will receive $100 for every direct contact that you refer to The Entreprenista League that joins. As the host, you also will receive an extra $50 for every new member who joins after attending your event as a result of another attendee’s referral. In order to host a local meetup – and be rewarded – you must be a member of our ambassador program, the Entreprenista Entourage. Sign up here!

Q: Can I host a workshop, panel, or educational event?

A: In the early stages of this roll-out, local meetups in collaboration with Entreprenista are solely for networking and socialization. An event request with more structured programming beyond networking (such as a panel, workshop, or presentation) will not be approved at this time, but you are always welcome to execute and promote an event such as these on your own channels and within the shared community platform.
